On June 1st we reported that the Greek drachma appeared on the Reuters list of currency exchange rates.
The drachma had not been in use since Greece adopted the euro back in 2002. Reuters now reports that the listing was the result of a programming error. The exchange rate for the former Greek currency is left blank on the list that details market information for the world’s leading currencies traded against the euro.
Reuters removed the Greek drachma from the list and issued a statement saying that the technical fault that led to the inadvertent appearance of the drachma is being investigated.
